Hello folks, how are you?

I understand that sometimes having a conversation might be a little difficult, specially when we all start with the same old questions (I'm not criticing it as I do believe this is the best way to start a conversation and get to know each other). THe thing is, after the first conversation, when we already know each other, our likes and dislikes, our hobbys and so on.... the what's left? For this reason I'd like to propose a different chat. Let's gather together to talk about different themes.. What do you think about the end of the world in 2012? Is it scientific proved that if the yellowstone volcano erupts its ashes will cover the entire atmosphere and we will all die? How do you use your facebook to grown in knowledge and culture? 

Let's do different.. Together let's try to learn new things and also have the chance to improve our foreign language. Togther we can do it.

Remember, we are here to share. That means help and been helped. If you are interested, either in one on one conversations or conferences, please add me to skype. The more friends we gather the better it will be. But remember, we are here to help and being helped. If you are not willing to speak in your native language too, don't bother joining us.

Hello! My name is Julia. I am an English speaker interested in learning Russian and Dutch. I am also interested in other languages such as French and Spanish but mostly the first two. I have no background in any of these languages besides French, but I am a devoted student and certain I can learn.

I've made my acquaintance with a few members around the site, however all arrangements were made through Skype. Currently my laptop with webcam and mic is down and I won't be getting it fixed for a couple months. My only computer access is through libraries. Therefore I can only communicate via Email messages or instant messaging, without audio/visual. If anyone else is in a similar predicament and/or interested in initializing a dual-teacher relationship this way please inbox me!

Okay,

So apparently this is supposed to be in the language I am learning. Whoops.

Here goes:

De maatregel van succes in taal maakt een grap.
Jammer genoeg, ben ik niet grappig. Maar toch.
Vandaag, leerde ik over regelmatige Nederlandse werkwoorden. De werkwoorden zijn fascinerend.
Ik babelfish vertaler voor dit, gebruikt dit maakt het onwettig?
 
Dit is een foto van mijn zoon in zijn kostuum van Halloween. Hij was een vampier in een ' het kussen booth'

English is my mother tongue. I am interested in learning another (any other) language, especially Russian, Dutch and French. I do not know any Russian or Dutch, so I'm looking for somebody who is comfortable teaching a beginner and has the capacity to do so effectively and with perseverance. This will be a mutual exchange as I will improve your English skills

Do you know any methodology for make highly efficient language exchange meetings?

To talk without any special target is good, but I feel that at the end, the topics are the same, and the conversations are similar.

I have read that another way of making language exchanges is with rol games. Have you ever tried? Is really more efective than normal talking?  Do you know another way?

   Let's take a look at the picture. We can write a short or a long sentence with your native language and English( via Google translate), to describe these keywords" who, what, when, where" or even " why, how, how much", use your imagination!!

I wrote a short sentence starting at the beginning, Anyone want to try connecting next? Let's get to finish a common script. Here we go.
