Hello folks, how are you?

I understand that sometimes having a conversation might be a little difficult, specially when we all start with the same old questions (I'm not criticing it as I do believe this is the best way to start a conversation and get to know each other). THe thing is, after the first conversation, when we already know each other, our likes and dislikes, our hobbys and so on.... the what's left? For this reason I'd like to propose a different chat. Let's gather together to talk about different themes.. What do you think about the end of the world in 2012? Is it scientific proved that if the yellowstone volcano erupts its ashes will cover the entire atmosphere and we will all die? How do you use your facebook to grown in knowledge and culture?

Let's do different.. Together let's try to learn new things and also have the chance to improve our foreign language. Togther we can do it.

Remember, we are here to share. That means help and been helped. If you are interested, either in one on one conversations or conferences, please add me to skype. The more friends we gather the better it will be. But remember, we are here to help and being helped. If you are not willing to speak in your native language too, don't bother joining us.

Thanks

Fernando

Activating the blog

Hi to anyone actually reading this :)

I've been a member here for a few weeks now and thought I might get more use out of the site than the occasional messages I share with my Spanish speaking friends :) I'll be quite unoriginal and start with a brief introduction;

I'm Linda. I'm Norwegian. I consider myself to be a bilingual (Norwegian/English) even though I did not learn English until I was six or seven. I've always been very fond of languages in general and once had a dream to become a fully fledged polyglot. Unfortunately my love for languages is not matched by my level of patience, a virtue I am sorely lacking. I studied French in middle school, then switched to German in high school and had a short fling with Italian at uni. Now I am trying to learn Spanish, and to my great joy and relief I'm finding it very easy! I just read through some short blog posts in Spanish and was thrilled to discover that I could understand most of it.

Hello

I'm a Lithuanian student. Since I'm studying Norwegian, I would like to streghten my knowledge of it :) Nevertheless, I also would like to learn other languages.

I'm confident in my English and German skills, so I can help with them along with Lithuanian

Do you know any methodology for make highly efficient language exchange meetings?

To talk without any special target is good, but I feel that at the end, the topics are the same, and the conversations are similar.

I have read that another way of making language exchanges is with rol games. Have you ever tried? Is really more efective than normal talking?  Do you know another way?

thank you

javi

故事接龍遊戲. A Storytelling Activity

Let's take a look at the picture. We can write a short or a long sentence with your native language and English( via Google translate), to describe these keywords" who, what, when, where" or even " why, how, how much", use your imagination!!

I wrote a short sentence starting at the beginning, Anyone want to try connecting next? Let's get to finish a common script. Here we go.
