こんばんわ!

It's Sunday night and my first weekend talking with native Japanese speakers has finished. I started with a very basic knowledge of Japanese (some sentences as こんいちわ、はじめまして、ありがとう、ごめんなさい...) but never tried to go further.
Thanks to The Mixxer, I've met really nice people and I'm having a really good time talking about anything while learning my favourite language (and discovering how much I love it everytime I learn something new!).

Things I have learnt this weekend:

  • My name (Esther) can be spelled as エステル and エスター. I think I prefer the second option.
  • は(ha) is pronounced as わ(wa) when used as a noun particle.
  • If you want to create a simple sentence, add は(wa) after the noun! -> 私スペイン人です。
  • Want to create an interrogative sentence? Just add か (ka) to the end of the sentence!: スペイン人はですか。
  • If you want to say "also", just add も(mo) to the comparative sentence: 私はせんせいです。あなたもせんせいです。
  • Japanese people don't sleep quite much, or at least, go to sleep very late!.
  • They have dinner at 18:00! (Spanish have it around 21:00/22:00).

And that's all for today. I'm going to study a little bit more before going to sleep.

さようなら!
