english questions

I do need some help!! I've got some question about english that I do not know where to clear it up.....pleas?

Why the sentence: Our only fear is losing you.
Why the ing there? Is it
because of the fact that it might be the subject??

why do they use 'sort of' and 'kind of' (sorta/kinda) ALL THE TIME?? an
example: We've sort of known each other for a long time. Or: you looked
kind of mad. Or: Are you afraid?...Sort of.

What's the meaning of yet at the begining of a sentece??

And the last one: why sometimes I've read a negative sentence writed as a question but it meant negative. An example: Don't you love in vain, cause love won't set you free.

Thank you very much for your help.

A little help?

Could anyone tell me if this sentence is right??

'' We were so delighted we didn't remember that having the tank full of petrol was needed for a trip like that''

I put it in my last writing exam but when I remembered it I tought the grammar wasn't correct.

Thank you so much!!

Myself, a spanish girl

.............The dot that became a speck that became a blob that became a figure that became a girl....................

I'm here for learning english and teaching my spanish to everyone who is willing. I've been living in Ireland for a while, inside of a different culture, with a language that I didn't manage at all and all on my own. And of course, it was the best experience ever. I met a multicultural cluster of people from all over the world. And I learnt a thing at least from each one of them. Besides the things I learnt from the family I was living with. I was looking after three girls, ages from 5 to 12, and they were such lovely girls. Irish people are very welcoming, you can have an improvised chat in the bus stop or having a guiness in a random pub. All in all, it was a great experience.

Now, being back to Spain, I miss so much my whole life there. I even miss the rain. Currently, I'm studying a master's degree in Occupational Risk Prevention at college.  And I might be apllying for an internship next october, maybe in the UK, I haven't made my mind yet.

I love reading. And I found out that I enjoy it even more in English. My favourite book from my childhood has always been The Neverending Story. I love imaginary worlds where everything might happens. My Irish older girl introduced me into the twilight's world and I've loved the whole saga ever since. The last book I've read was The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas.

So, that's me, here I am, expecting you to start telling me about you, teaching each other and, why not? making new friends.

Feel utterly free to correct me, please.

Regards from Spain
