My name is Sandra.  I am 35 years old.

 I  have to wear glasses all the time. 

I have lived in New York for almost my whole life. 

However, I did live in Ireland for a year and Kenya for 4 months. 

My mother lives with me.  Her name is Katherine.

My younger brother's name is Thomas.  He has two children. 

The boy's name is Dylan. And the girl's name is Isabel. 

Dylan is 12 years old and Isabel is 9 years old.

I teach young children. 

The children are 3 years old - 5 years old.

 I really like my job.　It is fun. 

Every year in March our Pre-K school has an International Day where each class chooses and learns about a different culture.  The class does art projects about that country and wears coustumes from that country.  On International Day we put on a very short "skit/song" from that country, usually a children's song or rhyme, how to count in whatever language is prevelant, and various "interesting" facts.  In past years we have chosen Kenya, Japan, Ireland, Scotland, France, and Peru.  This year my class has decided to learn about Samoa.  I went to the library to find some books about Samoa and found a really cute book called "My Village: Rhymes from around the World".  Wile looking through this book I found a cute poem from Japan.  I thought I would share it with you today.
