Going to a Buddhist temple in the morning (which I do only once or twice a year) and receiving a message from a Buddhist (for the first time in my life) in the afternoon, asking for my help. This was what happened to me the day before yesterday. The more I think about it, the less I see it as purely coincidental.

I went to the temple more as a tourist, though I prayed as others do. When I prayed, I thought that I should at least avoid lying to Buddha. For example, I shouldn’t pretend to believe in Buddhism, of which I know very little; I shouldn’t promise to pray like this regularly, which I cannot make sure; nor should I promise to stop eating meat, which I don’t think I can in the near future. But as far as I know, when one prays, he should always say something he can do (in exchange for what he asks for, e.g. good health, good luck, etc.). So I chose a natural promise to make: that I will try to do good things and to help others.

Then when I got home in the afternoon I received a message here in the Mixxer. It was sent by a Buddhist! A polite and determined young man from another country, he had been watching Buddhist lessons on Youtube channels. He wanted me to help him identify the dialect of a Master who speaks Chinese and to give him some advices on learning Chinese. When I did him this favor, he thanked me excitedly for many times. But I might be even happier than he was. It feels so good! And so magic! I don’t know if this can be counted as a communication with Buddha. But helping others does make people happy, and happiness IS what people usually ask for when praying in a temple.
