When she visited South Africa for the first time three and a half years ago, inspired by the

White Lions, Kesha Rose Sebert changed her hairstyle to resemble the lions.  After going around

the world in the Get Sleazy Tour in 2011, she travelled to the Galapagos, Australia and South

Africa for one month. “ My first trip was to find myself and this time I wanted to come in contact

with animals. I learned about Ukutula Lion Park and Lodge where they work for the conservation

of young lions. I went right away and joined the volunteering there.”

The facility is located in the suburbs of Johannesburg. They protect young lions that are not

able to grow up by themselves assumedly mistreated by their parents, and raise them with their

support to enable the lions to live in the wild by themselves again.

Kesha found it most peaceful when she swam with sharks whilst scuba diving.  “ Sharks are

prodigiously big, but they are peaceful and beautiful creatures. Although people say you should

be careful because you might be eaten to death, it is safe unless you invade their territories and

you can coexist. It was so wonderful a time to purify my mind when I swam together, making an

emotional connection with them.”  Comparing with us human society, she also said “ Animals are

simpler and easier to communicate with. Man is apt to take a negative point of view, but animals

are as they really are. They don`t tell lies and are straightforward, aren`t they?”

She decided the title `Warrior” for the latest album while staying at Galapagos before entering

South Africa.
