In Spain, Christmas season lasts until January, 6th, so does school vacations. In Madrid children usually go back to school on Jan, 8th. 

When I was a kid, Christmas used to be my favorite time of the year. I welcomed my adulthood with my parents' separating, plus some members of the family had passed away, so Christmas were never the same again. Now, many times, I remember my childhood and adolescence and how I enjoyed the family meals when we were all together eating and chatting and having fun in front of TV, although it was ignored most of times.

But, even then, I remember having a sort of nostalgia. Winter time change affected (and still does) my mood, and those 20 days of vacations were over too soon.

I grew older and I think I can manage nostalgia better now, but it still affects me, and those 20 days are still over too soon.
