I love reggae music but I never grew dreads
And today, quite literally, I’m a bald head

Although on stage, I might behave like a nutcase
I respect Marcus Garvey but I’m not Rastafarian
In fact, I don’t even consider myself an African

I was born here and I don’t plan to go anywhere

I’ve travelled a bit; today I believe we are blessed
They're gonna keep saying we’re living in Babylon
Africa is the Promised Land; how come they still haven’t gone? (3)
They’ll probably come up with an interesting explanation
As to why they still haven’t achieved their repatriation
It’s been more than a century since Garvey preached it
All they’ve done so far is write songs about it
