My response to the question is positive. Let me elaborate on the three principal
reasons that collectively underpin my opinion.
To begin with, more and more people are becoming aware that environmental issues
have a huge impact on the food crisis. Keeping nature conservation and protecting natural
resources results in securing food security. For example, water pollution discharged from
factories causes a decrease in marine life. Air pollution leads to severe climate change.
These factors affect food production.
Further, technological breakthroughs have brought about great benefits for
agricultural areas. Agricultural mechanization is increasing in many countries, including
developing countries. Automatable farming help farmers farm to produce a large harvest
more efficiently and with less power. According to a survey, such farming has reduced
women's hard workload, which is crucial, especially in poorer countries.
Finally, genetically modified crops (GMOs) are the potential for mass production of
crops. They are less affected by climate change and pests. They also need less effort and
time to cultivate without many chemical pesticides as well as much water. Many institutes
are working on projects for a potential food crisis.
The reasons mentioned above oblige me to reiterate my position that we can wipe out
global hunger.
