I was requested to write about the area I live in. I had to describe it, tell the advantages and disadvantages of living here and to say one improvement I would like to see.
My name is Natália and live in Vila Nova, a neighborhood in Campinas city. It is a very small area made out of only three streets. The houses in the majority of cases follow the same pattern of the region: 2 rooms and a bathroom and you still can see some trees left.
Starting off with the advantages, there is a grocery store nearby so if you need something quick that will not be a problem for you. Also, there are churches, more specifically three, from different ideologies in the same region, so if are a religious person that might come in handy. Last but least, there is a new condominium in the area, they have just built it so that is a good place for new people considering to move in to the region.
Regarding the disadvantages, as I said previously It is a small neighborhood, in most of the cases you will need to go downtown when necessary to solve your problems, although downtown is only five minutes away by car. In addition to that, there are some places where the cell phone signal is terrible while in others it doesn't even work. This happens because besides being just a few streets it is also a new neighborhood so the phone's signal can be an issue. My advice would be that you, on the off chance you are thinking about moving in, make sure that your house/apartment has a good signal.
If I had to suggest an improvement that I would like to see happening around here that would be related to this cell phone issue. Being someone who is a victim of it, I have to say that I really could live without being concerned about where I left my phone without worrying if I'm going to miss a call. However, I still think it's a great area if you balance the upsides and downsides. I recommend you to come and see it for yourself.
