One day, a foreigner man visited my office. He introduced himself that he is a biology professor and has researched butterfly. He showed me some sheets of paper he brought. Their photocopied sheets were written in somewhat old Japanese and apparently made of some parts of reports in regard to butterfly. Then, he asked me to help translate them from Japanese into English. According to him, these documents are a reference for next field research because it is recorded where butterflies were found. I accepted his request. Yesterday, he came to our office and asked again. He told me that he is going to Marshall Islands this Wednesday for his research for four to five weeks. I accepted and help translate what he wants to know in the copied sheets again. After finishing it, he gave me a gif which is SAKE in return for my assistance. I was surprised at this unexpected gift because I helped him like a volunteer so I did not expect any return though just enough for me phrase “thank you” from him. I was glad of his concern. I hope his research will be fruitful.
