Question : Is it still necessary to learn foreign languages?

At first - I expect it as necessary, independent of the possibilities electronical equipment supplies us.

In our expending world it is often necessary to speak and understand foreign expressions. Although, most of us had school education,  the understandig of special expressions if often weak . I for myself can say that i continually detect new words in  news, but in everydaylife too.                                           Today nobody can escape from the influence of English.  I often heared the discussion , especially from elder persons, I don't  need English anymore and I don't want to learn it , even if it is free.

I believe it is only fear to blame. I imagine, the greater blame is, if someone speaks an  English word as it is written - that leads to laughter.                 After my opinion everybody should  have a basic knowledge in English - independent if he travels or not - only for everyday life.
