When I was young, my father taught me to fish. I used to spend plenty of time by the river and lakes. Sometimes fishing was successful, more often it was less fortunate. Nevertheless, now all those hours I spent with a rod in my hand don't seem to me useless. Being on the river bank, listening to the sounds of the surrounding nature and trying to understand everything around me, I developed my sensitivity and intuition. After a while it helped me in my profession and in many other cases.
Today I watch You Tube channels where different kind of fishermen tell their fishing stories and amaze subscribers with their unbelievable results. Surprisingly, I notice that those people who care about nature, who love it and tend to show it perfectly and creatively - besides their fishing results - they always win. They attract a larger audience and get more likes and subscriptions. It proves that fishing is more an interaction with nature than having big catches or anything else.
Sadly, I cannot be a devoted fisherman these days and it's funny that I have to quench my passion watching other people's videos. I envy those who have this possibility to leave behind the hustle and bustle of the big city and go to a river or a lake. Hopefully, one day I'll be there as well.
