Being a self-employed would seem to be better than being an employee. First of all, you don't have a boss!!! (this is a great advantage!). You can manage your own time, so you can go out of work whenever you have to.

You can choose what kind of work you are going to do and which customers you are going to work with.

But in the other hand, there are some disadvantages, for example, you are the only responsable of your business, so sometimes you could take bad decisions that may affect your work, business and money!.

If you have a small company and you don't have employees, sometimes you also have to do another tasks like, banks, administrative/accountant tasks, pay taxes, etc.

If you are employee, you work only 8 hours a day (here in my country), and then you go home. Every month you will receive your pay. However, if you have a boss, perhaps you are asked to do some kind or work you don't like (and you have to do it!)

In my opinion, I prefer to be self-employed! I started working as employee 20 years ago, and now I'm lucky to be self-employed since 2005. Sometimes is hard and stressfull, but I'm happy!
