One of the major purposes of Inclusive Business is to alleviate poverty with systemic solutions and deliver sustainable development in low-income communities. Poverty is a multi-faceted problem that covers issues like lack of education and technology adoption, the absence of infrastructure, need for capital injection, weak governance, and dysfunctional institutions (Claudia Knobloch 2017). These problems affect organizations that want to adopt inclusive activities and introduce their markets in developing countries (Prahalad and Hart 1999). Despite these challenges, business has come to realize that there is a potential opportunity in poor countries as well. Based on the fact that the poor represent the world 70 percent of the population, there is a significant purchasing power that a business can take advantage of. Unfortunately, it still remains unclear the knowledge about how successfully integrate business, poverty alleviation and sustainable development.
