With its thousand years of history, the “Reichsburg” is a real centre of attration in the Cochem holiday region. The contours of the neogothic building rise more than about 330 ft. above the river Moselle on an outstanding hill. The views from the castle are breathtaking where you could see for miles. The interiors and the courtyards of the castle can only be visit with a guided tour, which takes approx. 40 minutes. You are allowed to take pictures and you can film during the guided tour, so you are able to share your adventure with your friends at home.

The region of Cochem is famous for its traditional wine. One of fifteen popular trail is “Moselhöhenweg” which is high above the river. There you a have fantasic view over the wine yards to the castle.
The circular trail is 10 miles long where you can enjoy the beauty of the nature. If you like to get background information about wine and Cochem, I recommend you a guided hike which also include a wine tasting session at a local winery, where you will discover exciting and interesting facts about wine and the cultural landscape of the Moselle region.
