The three charts above demonstrate the differences in annual spending of a particular UK school in 1981,1991 and 2001.

It is pretty obvious that teacher's salaries alway took up the biggest part which was almost a half. On the contrary, this school used to spent the least on insurance. However,it increased from 2 percent in 1981 to 8 percent in 1991. Different from insurance, although other worker's salaries was an important part, it kept falling down from 28 percent in 1981 to 15 percent in 2001.

Other than insurance、teacher's salaries and other workers' salaries, spending on  resources e.g. books and furniture and equipment were not stable. Resources e.g. books accounted for 15% in 1981, which is the same as furniture and equpment. The number rose to 20 percent in1991 and however, in 2001, it became only 9 percent. In contrast, the expenditure on furniture and equipment decreased to only 5 percent in 1991 but it grew to 23 percent in 2001.

Overall, the stuff's salaries costed the most in three years and the spending in resources and furniture and equipment tended to change dramatically.
