Right now, I am reading an beautiful and interesting book. the name of the book is Conciseness. The book is a recompilation of many audios recorded from Osho while he was giving speeches to his followers.  Osho was a spiritual leader and philosopher who could integrated the different point of view and perspectives of the most important spiritual leaders from human history (Buddha, Jesus, Muhammad, Lao Tzu, and others), and bring those ideas together in an essential one, how common people as you and I can reach enlightenment.  Although his life was full of scandals and controversies, he has a unique, open-minded, and holistic perspective of spirituality. I simply love it.  There are many ideas that he explained in this book regarding how to be more present in our daily life. The bad thing about humans is that they are always sinning. Not seeing sin as a traditional and dogmatic way of committing  a bad action against God, others or to ourselves  like Christianity has explained to us. Sin in the sense of be absent from the now. According to Osho, we are losing the possibility in becoming a better humans being when we are not present now, at this moment. He said that human beings are sleeping. Sleeping when they are driving a car. Sleeping when we take a shower. Sleeping when we talk with friends. Sleeping when we make love. Our mind is complete out from us, always thinking, and wondering about something that is not related to our present, with the now. Our mind is always reminding about the past events of planning the future, but never tasting the present. We are not living, we are denying the pleasure of being at this moment, right now. We are sinners because we waste our valuable and short existence with nonsense and foolishness. The only way that people can free themselves of worries and suffering is just being.
