I have extensive experience in the use of microscopes. While pursuing my PhD thesis, I used microscopy to study the distribution of fluorescent dyes on solid matrices. After getting my PhD, I worked as a postdoctoral researcher in Spain, using microscopy to study the interactions between dyes and biomolecules. Later on, I moved to Ireland, where I worked as a researcher for two years. While in Ireland, I used fluorescence confocal microscopy to study the properties of both lipid bilayers and nanostructured materials. After finishing my contract with X University, I moved to Italy. In the latter country, I worked as researcher in the Italian National Research Council. I used fluorescence confocal microscopy to study the photophysical properties of organic semiconductor films. Hence, I have more than four years’ experience in the use of microscopy. I have utilized different microscopes for the study of both biological samples and nanostructured materials. I have good communication skills in English, Spanish and Italian. I have given oral presentations at international congresses and I have lectured for two years at X University. I also have experience in the supervision and training of personnel. In addition, I have worked with pulsed and continuous lasers, including femtosecond lasers (type IV). I have significant experience in the alignment of laser setups.
