I disagree with the statement that young people enjoy a better life than older fellows. I believe that life has different phases and each life phase has its unique things that make your life more enjoyable. When you are young, you have a lot of energy. You can swim, dance, hung out with friends, and fall easily in love. But also you are imprudent, irresponsible, emotional, and selfish. You are exploring life and you are tasting it much as you can. This is beautiful and necessary for a healthy life. You start growing. You don't have too much experience, and you can feel that you have the whole life for yourself. You make a lot of mistakes, you act many times in a stupid way, but that is the way how we learn, through falling and falling on mistakes. You also can feel really disappointed about the bad actions that you have made. You enjoy life in a physical manner, but maybe you are not conscious of what you are doing, so you will be kind of confusing. When you are an adult that perspective starts changing little by little. You probably don't have the same energy as before. In addition, the way how you perceive happiness also change. For example, you will prefer to taste a good glass of wine rather than being in party the whole night. Or staying talking with a good friend for hours than being jumping and swimming in the pool during summer time. But all of this is enjoyable because you like it, and makes you feel good. Then suddenly, you realize that the special things are not the big ones, or the loud ones, or the popular ones. The special things are simple and that is enjoyable and pretty as well. When you get old, I believe that the perspective of reality will change. Probably you will start feeling more connected with the others. that selfish position that you had when you were young or adult has disappeared and you may realize that spending time with family is a real treasure. You may have more time to spend with your loved ones, to taste the food, to serenely walk in a park just being present in the now. Probably you will feel happy playing with young children at the park, or just having a pleasant reading in a pretty afternoon. You will be wiser and probably grateful with life because you lived it and you enjoyed it as much as you could.
