Hi everyone and welcome to my portfolio! My name is Natalia Bermudez. I am an environmental scientist with a growing interest in applying Geographic Information Science into my field. Through my professional experience, I have seen the importance of using GIS for sustainability and planning, no matter if you are collaborating with the public, private, non-profit organizations, or with academic circles. Many elements are in play when we are analyzing complex systems as the environment, and the power of bringing those elements (natural and human elements) together to find the connections and patterns are the most exciting component that GIS can bring to us. GIS is not only important for the power and the impact that visualization can offer to analysts and the public in general, but also the application of its methods and skills to perceive those connections in a most reliable manner. I am a master's student of GIS at Lehman College in NYC and in this portfolio, I want to share the most recent results obtained from my classes and professional projects. I hope you enjoying acknowledging my work.
