This writing is about a traditional fair that is celebrated each year in my city, Medellín. The name of the fair is "the fair of flowers", and as the name indicates it is related with al kind of flowers. The name is due to the fact that Medellín is also named the city of eternal spring. The celebration usually is done in the month of August for a complete week. The celebration includes several concerts of different well known artists, there is also a parade of old, but, very well conserved cars, and the main event is a parade of "silleteros". The "silleteros" are people that make a kind of big frame of wood and decorate it with thousands of flowers to create with the flowers a draw. Usually, the draw made with flowers refers to an important event of Colombia or the world. The day of the parade the "silleteros" put the big frame on their backs and walk to exhibit them. Sadly this year, because of covid-19 the fair was canceled. I hope next year everything returns to normality.
