Last week I saw the film “The family” which is a crime comedy directed by Luc Besson, starring Robert De Niro, Michelle Pfeiffer, Tommy Lee Jones, Dianna Agron, and John D'Leo. The film describe a Mafia family under the witness protection program.
Mafia boss Giovanni, who offended Don Luchese, a rival Mafia boss. He squeals on Luchese, then he is imprisoned. The Giovanni's family begins an FBI witness protection program a small town in Normandy. They try to integrate in the village activities, but all of them run into trouble. For instance, the wife produce a explosion in a shop because he listen anti-Americans comments. His daughter have a relationship with her maths teacher. His son create an illegal trade in cigarettes within the school. Giovanni takes a beating a plumber trying to trick him. At the end of the film Luchese discovers where Giovanni is hidden. Although a team of hitmen attack them, they can to survive.
The comedy is enjoyable because it is not predictable and the actors star in absurd situations that you can not imagine in the real world. If have the opportunity to watch, you will not miss it.
