Well, I do not know how to start.
My name is Pilar, I am here. In London. In the middle of nowhere trying to learn English as faster as I can, and trying to find a good job here.
In Spain everything was easier. I had my job, my friends and my family. Here, just my husband, but he is working really hard, so I spend my whole time alone. I'm freaking out! It is curious how our brain works. Do nothing can make you mad, you never stop thinking. And think so much it's really dangerous...
That's why I'm here. Writing this letter. Trying to know how is my level of english and expressing my feelings.
It's crazy how London works. I' was in some english academies last week, trying to find an affordable English course. But was imposible. The budgets that they gave me was between 1.750 and 500 pound per week, just because I need "business english". Really? I have no job! How can I pay all this amount of money for english classes? For sure I will love to, but it's impossible with no income in my life.
The life is also really expensive. It's crazy go to the supermarket. I know that this is an island and they have to import many food. But by the way, x3 or x4 spanish prices? I think that some of them are extremely high. And I not talking about organic food. Just comon food, like vegetables or meat.
Something that i would like to know is why british people put the expired date in everything, I've never seen before a expired date on a potato or on a piece of cheese. In my country this kind of items do not have it, you just know if the cheese smell good or if the potato its ok. It's make me feel unconfortable, because you are buying food that "their lives expires one day or two before" thats means that you have to go to the supermarket every other day. Someone would mind to explain it to me?
So, many thanks guys for help me with my first writing.
all my best
Pilar
