Thank you for posts. What you said about the Bible being a compilation of texts chosen with a Roman agenda is simply not true. The apocryphal books were not included because (1) nearly all of them were written much later than the original gospels and (2) they were not overwhelmingly recognized as authentic by the members of the early church, as the canonical books were. Furthermore, I can preach the Gospel to you without even using the New Testament. I have already mentioned, for example, that the promised Messiah was going to be called "a son" and was going to be "Mighty God" and at the same time "Everlasting Father", two titles that can only be applied to God. I will paste this verse here. "For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace." (Isaiah 9:6). How do you explain the existence of this verse? Did the Jews that lived hundreds of years before Jesus modify their scriptures for the world to know that Jesus is God? That are countless verses like these. If you are interested I will show them to you. We Christians do not need the New Testament in order to prove that the Messiah is God and that he was going to die for our sins.
