According to shopping centre giant IPR’S, Sundays trading hours will have to be extended because of public demand, notwithstanding opposition the politicians.

Last month, after opposition from Scottish National Party, as well as Labour and Conservative, Government had to relax its plans to reduce Sunday trading hours.

Nowadays, large stores and supermarkets can open for only six hours on Sundays.

Nevertheless, IPR’S, believes that political opponents of extended Sundays hours will eventually cave in to public opinion.

IPR’S commercial director Alan Ventures said that the shopping patterns are changing. Sunday is currently the busiest day of the shopping week.
