Finally, the snow has covered the ground and everything seems much better now. I hate these months in Saint-Petersburg - November to February - especially when they are wet, dark and snowless. When it snows, it becomes easier to stand our severe climate, because snow makes the surroundings brighter. It's the same with frost. When the weather is a little bit frosty and snowy, you go through the winter much easier. So I hope that the snow that lies on the ground so still will stay\remain there at least until the New Year Eve.

That's the side effect of the global warming. The climate changes and it changes our emotions and mental conditions. I remember a winter or two ten years ago. Probably, it was in 2010 - the winter I remember as a very snowy and frosty. Not long ago it was banal to use such expressions as "Russian winter". People all over the world would immediately imagine a lot of snow, cold and wind. Presently, "Russian winter" means almost nothing, at least if we speak about Moscow or Saint-Petersburg. I remember Chicago's winter and it was no less severe than that of we have here.

I wonder what we could see in ten years. In fifty, the expression I mentioned above might probably seem senseless.
