With the development of technology and the flourish of the internet, parents are more inclined to leave their children to decide whether they want to go to a regular school or stay at home an study with their help. 

Kids usually choose to have regular classes, but there are a few who decide that they want to study with their parents. Now it is more usual to hear that kids are being educated through the internet. 

First of all, parents can be great teachers. They usually have a wide range of degrees such as maths, literature, science and so on. Sometimes, they are even more prepared that some educators and they are passionate about teaching. In fact, some famous presidents like Abraham Lincoln was home schooled.

Second of all, making friends is not a concerned. On the internet, we can find a handful of forums and organizations where kids have the chance to interact and organize events in their communities with other home school kids. 

Finally, the social aspects are important, and school is about making friends. But a lot of researchs have shown that we don't keep in touch with our old friendships. 

In conclusion, having a parent as a teacher, it is not a bad idea and we need to be open to new ways of educations.
