I found a terrible story in the newspaper today. Three homeless people went to a shelter seeking safety when super typhoon Hagibis hit Japan last Saturday. But the staff in charge of the shelter refused to accept them. They said, "this shelter is only for residents of this ward. and you guys don't have residence in this ward, so you are not entitled to use this shelter." That's a terrible story, isn't it? It was a really dangerous situation. However underprivileged people were not provided with any assistance to help them get through the disaster. What a terrible country Japan has become.
