I had attended a conference as a Ph. D student in last week.
In the conference, I had a chance to hear the presentation by a British professor.
I thought that his spoke British English.
But an American professor taught me that was Scottish English.
It is difficult distinguishing dialects in English for me.
Anyway, his presentation was understandable.
