Railway play an important role in terms of transportation site at present. In fact that different people hold different opinion about whether should spend large sums of money on constructing on new railway or on improving existing public transportation. Many statistics revealed that the city council would spend large sums of budget in railway and public transportation. But from my opinion, I think we should spend more proportion of budget in railway.

At first, more people would prefer to choosing take railway than driving when it comes to the traffic jam especially in the big city, moreover, the pollution would reduce as well if more people choose railway. What’s more, the railway would be more safe, convenient and contribute the communication with the nearby city. For instance, railway is quite convenient in my city, so most of time it would take less than 1 hour if i take railway to nearby city, but self-drive would take more than 2-3 times of time and cost than railway. Meanwhile, for some people who don’t like to drive in long time or take airplane, railway is a good option for them. From my personal experience, I think the railway would be more punctuate than public transport because they have strict timetable.

Above all, there is not doubt that the government should spend large sums of budget in railway and public transport. And from my point of view, I agree that should spend more money in railway when it comes to big investment.
