I would like to visit the University of Michigan in August this year. I have never been to the U.S.. I would stay for six months there. Thinking of this trip, I feel very both exciting and apprehensive. I completely have no idea about the life in the U.S.. I just know it would be a new experience. I have to get used to the university life in America. I'm quite worried about my English. The language ability plays the most important role in the daily life. It determines whether I could get used to new living environment and communicate frequently with the instructors in the classes. I have read some articles about the terrible life of some Chinese who study in America for their graduate programs. It seems everything goes crazy. They are always straggling for their credits and the professors are inhuman. However, one of my friends told me that all the messy are derived from their terrible English skills. I think this explanation makes sense and I have to improve my English as much as possible.
