KEEPING GOING ON DESPITE THE FATE
If we look at the success stories of great people, we can almost always see an unchanging concept in their lives: hard work. It's a must to be successful in life. However, it doesn't mean that when we work hard, we will always get what we crave for. Luck is another important element of life. With a twist of fate, we can lose all our work, all our effort of a lifetime in the blink of an eye.
Let’s think of a farmer. He works hard all the year before harvesting time. Just before getting the fruit of his efforts, a hurricane comes and destroys all his crops. Is this kind of calamities are rare enough for us to underestimate the role of luck in our lives?
Here is another example: a man hits the jackpot and wins millions of dollars. If we make a quick research, we can find out that most lottery-winners have lost all their money in the end. They have also lost their former happiness and peace along with it. What we see as a lucky event first may turn out to be unlucky.
Between these two concepts, hard work and luck, only on one of them we have an effect and it's hard work. No matter how unlucky some events turn out to be, we should never give up on our aims, our dreams because this is life. Nothing is for certain. It takes for a while for some of us to understand this fact, but sooner or later we all come to the same point: acceptance of fate.
What matters in our life is hard work. We must keep on working regardless of the games that fate plays with us. We have no other choice but to keep going. The show must go on, as Freddy Mercury said in one of his songs.
