American Landmarks are all over the country...Just like in China. Every state, site, and neighborhood has its own landmarks.    

    In San Francisco for example, there is alcatraz (an old jail), and the Golden Bridge.

     Alcatraz is the number one scenic spot of San Francisco in the United States.

The statue of liberty is the symbol of the United States. Located in the United States in New York Harbor liverty Island near the Hudson River. It was a gift from France to the United States of America on its independence day. The statue was made in France by the French people.

Ellis Ilsland far from " the statue of liberty " is only 300 meters. When you come to America through New York City  you first come to Ellis Island. 

Visitors used to be able to walk to the top of Statue of Liberty. But after 9-11 it was closed to the public. Now wisitors can just see it from Kayak.

9-11 refers to the September 11, 2001 terrorists hijacked passenger planes hit New york' world trade center and the pentagon  in Washington's history.
