I am a postdoctoral researcher working in Dr. X’s group. At the moment we are trying to image phosphorene films deposited on Si/SiO2 substrates. The thickness of the substrates is 200 nm. The phosphorene that we are using has been provided to us by Dr. X2. We received the phosphorene in DMSO solution. In brief, I have been trying to obtain bright-field images of the films. My excitation source is a lamp that emits in the blue spectral region and my detector is a CCD camera. My images are not as bright as I would have expected. I am sending you one of the images in the attached file. Dr. X has asked me to consult you about this issue, since I understand that you have experience in the imaging of phosphorene films. Could you please tell me if the image that I am sending you resembles the ones that you normally obtain? I thank you in advance for taking the time to help us.
