・手水舎で必ず手と口を清める

　you should purify hands and  mouth at “ Temizusya”

なぜここで清めるのかというと、私たちの普段目には見えない自分についた「罪・穢れ」を祓うため。崇高な神様のおそばへ行かせていただく為、少しでも清めてから神様にご挨拶をする。

The reason why you should purify hands and mouth is to exorcize sin and impurity that we have and we can not recognize.  To go closer to a noble god, you drive away these things and greet the god.

・まず右手に柄杓を取って左手を洗う

・左手に柄杓を取って右手を洗う

・次にもう一度右手に柄杓を取って左手に水をため、そこで口を洗う

・最後に残ったお水で柄杓を立てにして、柄杓の柄に水を流す

Firstly, take a ladle by the right hand and wash the left hand.

Secondly, take it by the left hand and wash the right hand.

Thirdly , hold it by right hand and put a little water on the left palm and using the water to wash mouth.

Finally, you put ladle up and wash the ladle’ handle by remaining water.
