Good morning/afternoon/evening
In this article, I had to discuss both positive and negative aspects of mobile phones. Here's the result of this discussion.
Technology plays a crucial part in history. Without technology, many of the currently living people wouldn't even be here, and for those who would, life would be fairly different. Speaking of which, one of the technologies that have a mass impact is the mobile phone. It is heavily present in human life, what raises a few questions: What are its benefits? What about its downsides?
Mobile phones have opened up so many functionalities. One is able to locate themselves, get into places, order food, ask for a car to come and pick them up no matter where they are. Also, information is literally in the palm of their hands, they just need to reach out to their pocket to get their questions immediately answered. Moreover, humans are connected as they have never been before and in the same way with information, this is all due to mobile phones.
On the other hand, somehow this inordinate amount of connection - supposed to make individuals closer - has made them more distant, it has created relationships where the rule is not to talk truly to one another but rather be all over those devices. Our lives revolve around them, from the minute we wake up to when we finally go to bed. Aside from that, another negative aspect is how users are increasingly giving up their privacy, especially on social media, using them to put out excessive information about themselves instead of as a means of connection.
The mobile phone, despite its significant relevance, is a relatively new technology. In a certain way, consumers are still trying to get a grasp on it. Users need to learn how to handle it in a healthy manner and to balance the presence of cell phones in their routines, so they can make the most of it, highlighting the positive aspects over the negative ones.
