I am excited to apply for the Research Internship of Long-Term Effects of Housing Provision in and around Antigua. As a trained field researcher, this good opportunity fits with my professional experience and goals. I will bring my experience in social and environmental sciences, and do my best to help your organization achieve its goals. I worked in Colombia with an interdisciplinary research team and local government, studying the effects of natural hazards and public housing policies for low-income population. In addition to survey design, I collected and processed a large amount of quantitative and qualitative data collected through literature reviews, environmental assessments, and field work. This practical experience provided insight to some housing policy challenges of a low-income population. I have collaborated with community leaders, academic experts, and governmental representatives and have conducted survey interviews to a socioeconomically diverse population. These experiences have taught me that my social and communication skills are supported by a positive attitude, kindness, openness, sensitivity, and perhaps most importantly, respect for others. Working with diverse groups motivated me to continue my education and obtain a Sociology degree in the US. Please allow me to be part of your team and endorse social consciousness and work for the well-being of families with economic and social disadvantages. I want to get this opportunity because goes with my passion and conviction. My C.V. provides additional information about my background. I am enthusiastic to move to Guatemala for the time that the organization needs my services. Feel free to call o reach me trough my email.
