Muay Thai is a fighting sport from Thailand that uses stand up striking along with various clinching techniques (that means by grappling hold).
This physical and mental sport is also known as "the art of eight limbs" because it is a combination of fists, elbows, knees and shins techniques.
Behind this sport there are many traditions that make thai boxe a real culture, for example wai khru is a particular ritual dance for good luck as well as to ward off harmful spirits performed by partecipants before fighting.
In the history of this sport there have been a lot of athletes, but only one in my opinion has been a legend: Ramon Dekkers, from netherlands he was famous for his warrior spirit, infact he accepted all the challenges even if injuried and was the first non thai fighter who win the "fighter of the year award", the most prestigious of muay thai world.
I started in 2012, fighting makes me very exited and If my father had not tried a similar fighting thing, I would have never started muay thai.
I have already won a fight and next sunday I'm leaving for a competition in Bologna, so I hope I'll win.
