Last week I had the opportunity to run in a 10k race, I started running a year ago, 4k in the beginning and gradually ended up running 6k and 8k regularly. My rythm was of about 6k per minute so I set my goal to doing 10k in less than 60 minutes. It was strange, in the start line I felt a little nervous, of course I knew was impossible for me to win, but, you can't avoid that competitive feeling. The first 4k was a little hard because I had to run through a pair of bridges, one of them very steep and I had practiced only on flat terrain. When I was about the 5k mark, I started to feel a little tired and began to fall behind, this discourage me a little and I tought that I couldn't accomplish my goal, but about 6k mark, I passed by a speed indicator meant to vehicles showing my speed of about 12kilometers per hour, so I knew instantly I was having a good rhytm, that boost my confidence and began to accelerate a little. When I was about 50 meters from the finish line I could see the clock showing about 56 minutes, that made me very happy. I ended up with a personal record of 56.34 my best so far, but I hope not for long.

Ty for reading and comment.
