Continued too much reliance on medicine would bring not remedy but bad effect on patient’s body. Let’s take an example from my experience. My doctor prescribed sleeping pills when I was diagnosed as insomniac, because of having a hard time sleeping although the symptoms was not actually serious. I just needed to take enough rest and relax. As I take the pills, it’s effects become less, my body acquiring resistance for the pill. As a result, the quantity of the pill was increased each night. At that time, it was getting harder for me to stop taking the medicine. If I did not stop, I would have gotten addicted to it. There are a great number of benefits from modern medicine. However, too much reliance on medicine would be harmful for our health. Patients need to follow doctor’s prescriptions appropriately, and take the quantity rightfully.
