Multitasking is a new concept, it means doing two or more activities at the same time, it might seem like a skill people could learn with some practice. Lets consider two situations, first singing while playing an instrument and seccondly someone checking its phone and having a real life conversation, both have one thing in common, they involve doing two different activities at the same time. The difference is that the first one is mechanized through practice, while the second one requires improvisation and thinking at the same time. Another examples of multitasking take place at schools when the teacher talks and the students take notes, students simply jump from one activity to another, the same happens when someone listen to music and reads, this will reduce the deep of thought and increase the time spent doing an activity. Is difficult to deal with multitasking in a society that demands it, wherever this will take us I hope it doesn't interfere with our efficiency and creativity.
