Today I'm going to be writing about something that happened in Colombia a couple of weeks ago. In the islands of San Andrés and Providencia which are located in the Caribbean sea, a category five hurricane, named Iota, hit those islands. This is the first time that such a strong hurricane hit in that place, so the people were not enough prepared to deal with it and the houses were no build to resist such kind of strong winds. Finally, when the hurricane continued its way the disaster was evident, almost 98 percent of the houses were destroyed. The good thing was that very few people died. It could have been much worse.
