Putin's passage about Vladimir's Kievan Rus baptism meaning for "Russian nation and Russia as a whole" is an attempt to steal other's people historical heritage - Alexandr Turchynov, the NSDC secretary, wrote on his Facebook page.

"If we talk about historical roots, it is not clear at all how one of Golden Horde ulus relates to Kievan Rus and prince Vladimir" - Turchynov emphasized.

He notes that nobody heard about Moscow and Moskovy two centuries after Vladimir baptised Rus, therefore they have no connection with Kievan Rus and Vladimir.

"If consider this matter from personality influence on "united Russian nation and Russian state" viewpoint, then relating not to our prince Vladimir who couldn't realize that something would be build on northern swamps but to Khan Batiy who gave Alexander Nevskiy a label to govern would be more logical in Moscow. - Turchynov added.

"Moscow principality could appear only if backed by Mongol invaders. In fact Moscow keep this heritage i.e. Hord government and communication with other countries formula. And attempts to solve their problems by taking another label on East basically correspond their mentality, historical and ethnic sources" - Turchynov concluded.
