任天堂は１３日、社長の岩田聡（いわた・さとる）氏が胆管腫瘍のため１１日午前４時４７分に京都市内の病院で死去したと発表した。任天堂によると、体調を崩して入院、容体が急変し、亡くなった。昨年の株主総会は胆管腫瘍の療養で欠席したが回復し、今年の総会には出席していた。岩田氏は２０００年に任天堂入社。０２年５月に社長に就任し、ゲーム機「ニンテンドーＤＳ」や「Ｗｉｉ（ウィー）」などヒット商品の開発を先導した。

Nintendo which is Japanese TV game brand company announced that Mr Satoru Iwata who is the president of the comapny past away at four forty seven July 11th in a hospital of Kyoto city because of bile duct cancer. According to the company said, his shape turned into bad and enter the hospital but his condition took a sudden turn and past away. He had been absent a general meeting of stockholders last year in order to cure the cancer but he attended this year. He joined the company in 2000 and assumed the president on May 2002 and led to invent  some great products like Nintendo DS, Wii and so on.
