Human being always needs to be in a progress. And whole life he has to get new knowledge and skills.

That is why, I think there are many reasons to attend college or university.

First reason is, of course, education and knowledge. Everybody knows that nowadays education is

compulsory. It gives people a future profession, the occupation that they will engage after graduating.

The better and more they study, then easier for them to find a worthy job. For example, I graduated the

university with honor. And when I was attending the competition to get a job, I was preferred than

another participations without any achievements. In that situation I was very grateful to myself, for

those efforts I had made while studying.

Also, I have noticed that some people attend universities just for the diploma. We all now, that absence

of diploma can make difficulties in proving the knowledge. You can be a very good practical specialist in

some fields, but without the diploma you have no chance to confirm you skills. For example, my

colleague from previous job in the bank had a legal education. Because of she was dealing with

economical, financial and bank cases so often, she became very good specialist in her activity. However

she needed to get financial education to promote. And after getting a degree what proves her

knowledge she received a promotion.

Next reason of attending college or university is society and communication. As we know, today some

universities provide promote education. But in my opinion, material is learnt easier and better when

students study together, chat with each other, discuss the material and ideas. Society helps person to

compete with others, (does society?) develops different skills. And after graduating the university, I

think, a student becomes more prepared to use his knowledge in a real life. Also, student finds many

friends in university, or even his (g/e) future spouse.

And as a final point, I add that universities or colleges are necessary in our lives. Every person has to

study in appropriate place, where he can reveal his potential. Where professors or teachers are very

close to him. They guide him while studying, answer his questions, share with their experience and also

learn something new from the students.
