The temperature of our world has been increasing during the last decades. Scientists claim this process is caused by greenhouse gases. Even though this theory has not been completely proved, it is the most accepted for the scientific community. A great part of the greenhouse gases is produced by livestock industries. Then, it has been argued that, if we want to solve the problem of greenhouse gases, we should get rid of livestock industries. From that proposal comes up a question: since most of the world’s people is not willing to stop eating meat, how can we replace the products of livestock industries?’. Patrick Brown proposes a solution by his company ‘Impossible foods’. Impossible foods is a company where scientists create plant-based food in laboratories without environmental negative consequences. Although Brown’s solution seems to be quite convenient, some people have claimed that the process of production of that food could bring some harmful effects for human health. However, Brown states that there has not been found any negative consequence for humans who eat his food. Is Impossible foods the best solution for the problem of livestock pollution?
