I believe that people in the past were more in touch with nature than people are today.

 Firstly, thanks to the information technology today, people’s lives have dramatically changed, and people have less time to be in touch with nature than before.

 A few decades ago, there did not exist the Internet, cell phone, and the like. Therefore people, especially for children, have nature around them.

 If anything, they had enough time to kill time, that we today would felt too dull.

 Secondly, the modernization has advanced, and the environment has changed.  For example, many buildings have constructed in rural areas, and plants and animals living there, beautiful streams were disappeared.

 From these reasons, it is very unfortunate that people in the past were more in touch with nature than people are today.
