First of all what is a procrastinator? A procrastinator is a person who wait until the last moment to do a task or duty, don’t matter how much time him/her had had to do it, this persons wait until the last day to do everything, but why people procrastinate the thing? This is a question that doesn’t have one answers but we are going to discuses one of them.
Some studies show that we are still animals and how all the animals we try to follow our instinct, we want to eat, play, sleep and enjoy the life doing easy and funny thing, this can be done by an animal all it’s life without consequence. unfortunately we aren’t simple animals we are humans and therefore we have a lot of responsibilities and things to do. for this reason we have something that the animals don’t rational sense.
Rational sense help the humans to organize and prioritize the thing from the most important until the lest. I haven’t saying that we can do funny thing and enjoy the life, instead of that I’m saying that we should learn how organize or time and know what are the most important thing.
Procrastination is a problem that affect the 90% of Colombians for this reason here are some pieces of advice that can help you stop being a procrastinator.
1 Do a to do list every week in this way you can know what are the task more important that you have to do during the week.
2 Do a schedule for the week and divide the task in small groups for each day try not to put too much hard task together in the same day or too much task in a single day.
3 Began from easiest or the hardest, some people prefer doing the easiest task first in this way when they finish a task, they are more motivated and keep on until finish everything. on the other hand other people prefer doing the hardest things first because after having done that the rest is a cakewalk.
4 Organize your room, work space and find a place for everything thus you can feel more comfortable, willing to work and you won’t waste more time looking for things. Remind this words your life is organize as the place you live and work.
5 Get rid the thing that you don’t use, if you haven’t use a sweater shoes or others kinds of things for more that one year are useless and the only thing that they are doing are hampering and keeping space.
6 Be punctual not only with your important meetings but also with your schedule and your life eat on time and sleep at least 8 hours every day, try to be 10 or 15 minutes before to motive yourself and show that you are responsible.
7 Reward yourself after finishing a long and hard work, thus you realize that all hard work paid off and now you can take a break without concern.
